How withdrawals work

From the Account Home screen, your customer selects Withdrawal and enters the amount of USD to convert. Meridian deducts the amount from the Virtual Account balance and marks the transaction as pending. Meridian then sends a payout request to your designated Credit API. Your Credit API transfers the funds in local currency to your customer’s local bank account. Once the transfer is confirmed, the Virtual Account balance updates to reflect the settled status.

How withdrawals are funded

Meridian fulfills withdrawals through the bank partner’s Credit API. During onboarding, Meridian’s Implementation team integrates with that API to push funds from Meridian’s sponsored account to the customer’s account at the home bank.
